What BP Phone is

BP Phone is the calling app for the BOSS Pacific business phone system. It lets people who have been given an extension by BOSS Pacific make and receive voice calls. It is not a public calling service and cannot be used without an extension issued by BOSS Pacific.

Information the app uses

  • Extension number and password — entered by you or delivered by your invite link, stored only on your device to sign in to the BOSS Pacific phone server.
  • Microphone audio — used only during a call you make or answer, sent encrypted to the BOSS Pacific phone server and the other party. Calls are not recorded by the app.
  • Call metadata (numbers dialled, times, durations) — kept on the BOSS Pacific phone server for normal phone-system operation and billing.
  • Notification token — if you allow notifications, a push token is stored on the BOSS Pacific server so incoming calls can wake the app.

Calls to the optional "Claude" voice assistant on extension 200 are transcribed by the BOSS Pacific phone server and the text is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate replies; a transcript is kept by BOSS Pacific.

What we do not do

  • No advertising, no tracking, no analytics SDKs.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information with third parties for marketing.
  • No access to your contacts, photos, location or files.

Security and retention

All signalling uses TLS and voice uses encrypted media where supported. Account credentials can be revoked by BOSS Pacific at any time. Call metadata is retained only as long as needed to run and bill the service, then deleted.

Your choices

You can sign out in the app, uninstall it at any time, and ask us to delete your extension and associated records by emailing appdev@bosspacific.com.au.
